DeeWitt is a graduate of Vanderbilt University. After Vanderbilt, he became a commissioned officer in the US Navy and a Naval Aviator. His last three years on active duty he taught NROTC at Brown University where he also received a Master’s Degree. DeeWitt received his initial investment experience with Morgan Keegan in Memphis beginning in 1986. He has his series 6, 63, 7, 65, and 24 and is a Registered Principal for the Memphis branch of PASLLC. DeeWitt and his wife, Diane, live in Memphis. They have three children and nine grandchildren. DeeWitt is an active member of Christ United Methodist Church serving on the Finance Committee and Music Committee and as Chairman of the Audit Committee. He is also a member of the Sanctuary Choir. During the school year, he serves as a mentor in the Eikon Ministry “Read to Succeed” program at Lester Community Center. DeeWitt is an avid sportsman and was winner of the Tennessee State Sporting Clay Championship Super Vet Class in 2005 and is a member of the Tennessee All State Sporting Clay Team for 2006.
